The fourth installment of the studio's animated "Ice Age" - Ice Age: Continental Drift, easily debuted in the No. 1 spot at the box office this weekend. The 3D movie opened with a solid domestic sum of $46 million, according to an estimate from Fox.

In this story, Scrat's nutty pursuit of the cursed acorn, which he’s been after since the dawn of time, has world-changing consequences – a continental cataclysm that triggers the greatest adventure of all for Manny, Diego and Sid. In the wake of these upheavals, Sid reunites with his cantankerous Granny, and the herd encounters a ragtag menagerie of seafaring pirates determined to stop them from returning home. I think it's a good film to recommend to you.

Featured in the film was the song, Chasing the Sun, performed by The Wanted, the film's first theme song, and the second theme song We Are, performed by Keke Palmer, Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Lopez, Drake, Ester Dean, Queen Latifah, Ray Romano, John Leguizamo and Denis Leary. Both songs play during the credits.
